Wimbledon Poster | Charles Burton | 1930 | Vintage Print
Wimbledon tennis fortnight has long been a key sporting event for Londoners. Numerous stylish posters were produced to promote it in the 1930's. This Pink one, published by the Underground Group in 1930, was designed by Charles Burton. It promotes the bus connection to the tennis courts, which were some distance from the nearest Underground station.
